The work journey began with an interview. We have to pass the interview to start the professional or work life. But what is an interview? An interview is a discussion or conversation between a potential employer and a candidate. It is a selection process designed that helps an employer understand the skills. Usually, interviews happen during the last phase of the recruitment process which help companies select a suitable candidate for a job role. These interviews are short, usually less than 30 minutes and may be as short as 10 minutes. As technology develops, it is becoming more convenient and cost-effective for employers to conduct job interviews online. An online interview is an interview conducted through an online chat video/audio platform. The most common type of online interview is a video call. The interviewer will schedule a specific time in which they will call using a program like Skype, Zoom or Google Hangouts. An offline interview is conducted face-to-face. This doesn’t use any medium. These are some basic tips for acing the interviews: talk professionally, dress properly, make eye contact, consider body language, be relaxed, etc. The basic and most important interview tip is to be confident and put a smile on face. It gives good impression on interviewer. These are some basic as well as important tips which would help in online and offline interview preparation.
